The Future of Social Media

The future of social media has already begun to pave its way into our lives with My Space, Face Book, and Twitter whether you have accepted it or not. Social media is becoming one of the most important marketing and media tools used in today’s online world. With social media people are becoming more and more connected to one another and speeding up the way our world is globalizing. For example, if you take look at the plane crash that happened last month in Austin, you will see how quickly the news spread. With out social media the first pictures and videos would have been seen on the local news channels. Because of social media people who get updates to their phones were able to avoid the traffic if they didn’t tune into the news before they left their homes. They were also able to understand what was going on faster than if they were to sit around and wait until the news was able to report it. Businesses are also able to use social media to advertise and create publicity for their business. Business are now able it tweet or do a status update on face book for promotions to a mass audience for free. This is making it easier for small business to grow faster and large business to generate more cash flow at much faster rates.

Whether Face Book and Twitter are here to stay or not social media will most definitely be apart of our lives from here on out. The advantages of social media are too good to just drop the ball on it and people and business are starting to figure this out. I feel there will be many more web sites like Twitter and Face Book in the future and possibly take them over as we have already seen happen with My Space. As the world of social media grows the knowledge of perfecting these sites will as well. This will lead our world more and more online and create a more and more globalized world. All in all social media is here to stay and will continue to grow at a very rapid pace!
